The Macarthur Region

The Macarthur Region and its communities have always played an important role in the history and development of both NSW and Australia as a country. It commenced with the landholdings of John Macarthur and his role as the pioneer of the Australian Wool Industry.

Today, the Macarthur region once again has a prominent role in the growth of NSW and Australia. One of the fastest growing parts of Australia, the area has become a focal point for public and private infrastructure and construction investment. Increasingly it is also becoming home for new businesses and families.

The Macarthur region is an ideal location for families looking to live in an area that retains its relaxed and inviting country character, while still offering convenient access to education and employment opportunities. There are also numerous transport options available, to easily travel out of the area for work and study if needed.

This includes the new Badgerys Creek Airport, construction of which will commence in 2016.
